20ml Tia Maria
50ml cream
Glass
Clean rocks glass
MOP
- Add the Vodka & Tia Maria to a shaker
- Shake over ice
- Double strain into a glass filled with ice
- Float the cream on top with a bar spoon to create a layered effect

About
The origins of the drink are unknown, apart from that is is clearly a twist on the Black Russian, created in 1949. Popular in the 70’s, the drink fell from glory until it was thrust back into popular culture by the 1998 cult the ‘The Big Lebowski’, with its iconic character ‘the dude’, who consumes 7 of the drinks through the film. The Dude abides.
